• Type: S
• Flux density at 1 GHz (/Jy): 25
• Spectral Index: 0.50

Radio: 3C397 is two sources: the E is the SNR, the W is a HII region.

X-ray: Brighter to the E and W, with central component.

Distance: HI absorption suggest 8 to 10 kpc.
